SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WHILE ON TRIP

While the trip committee has endeavored to select trips compatible with the physical conditions of most club members that may occasionally be too taxing to some, e.g. walking. In other cases, a member may overestimate his/her capabilities and desire to participate in the trip anyway. Hence, where applicable, the trip committee may require a family member or other health care provider to accompany a member whose health is questionable to participate in the trip. In some cases, the member may be denied access to the trip based on health and safety concerns.

  • On the trip, the trip leader must be notified of any problems immediately.  he/she will take care of anything that needs to be done, such as a health concern, accommodations, etc.
  • If you are not going to participate in an activity, be sure to notify the trip leader in advance, so that he/she will have an accurate count and will know the circumstances of the absence.
  • Each person must have a buddy. This should be someone who will assist you if you have a problem and notify the trip leader of your absence, sickness or other emergency.
  • No person should leave the group and go on his/her own unless the trip leader is notified and concurs to such a departure.
