Senior services

The Fifty Plus Club of the Chesters invites all senior citizens of Chester Township, Chester Borough and Washington Township to join us. The objective of the club is to provide social activities and to share educational and recreational programs. Our programs vary and include speakers, entertainment and parties. Activities planned are miniature golf, bowling, going out to lunch and attending local theatre productions. Each year we have up to eight-day trips and two overnight trips. In the past we have visited Quebec, Hawaii, Norway, Tennessee, The White Mountains of New Hamp- shire, and resorts throughout Pennsylvania and New England. Our day trips have included Broadway Shows, The American Theater, Sight & Sound, 911 Memorial, and museums as well as venues featuring full luncheon menus and entertainment.

We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, January through November at the Community Presbyterian Church on Main Street, Chester. We suggest you arrive at 10:30 a.m. The business meeting begins at 11 o’clock sharp and is followed by a program of interest. Special celebrations are featured during holidays, barbecues, covered dish and specialty days. Join us and see what you are missing! Coffee and Cake will be provided at each meeting.
