2025 summer Camps
ENGINEERING & ROBOTICS SUMMER CAMP WITH WIZE COMPUTING ACADEMY
Session 1: JULY 14 – JULY 18: ROBOT PETTING ZOO
How would you like to make your own zoo animals? Would you like to combine the worlds of art and science? Come participate in a “make-a-thon” to create a robotic pet to delight and inspire visitors to your very own petting zoo. Construct your pet from familiar materials such as cardboard and craft supplies, then use robotic components and programming to bring your creations to life. Each day will include a combination of “plugged” and “unplugged” time, minimizing the time your child spends in front of a screen. While all classroom equipment and supplies will be provided, children are encouraged to be creative if they wish to add any personal touches from home to their pets.
Time: 9am-12pm

How would you like to build your own battling robot that you can control, pitting it against your friends’ creations? Come join us to team up to build a battlebot with familiar LEGO parts, then program it, entering it into a tournament. Even better, you get to control it all with a video game controller, putting you right in the middle of the action. Each day will include a combination of “plugged” and “unplugged” time, minimizing the time your child spends in front of a screen. All classroom equipment and supplies will be provided.
