About Chester Recreation
Daniel Hesse, Recreation Director
Chester Borough is pleased to welcome Daniel Hesse as our new full time Recreation Director/ Pool Operator. Daniel is anxious to share his enthusiasm for recreation with Chester. We have asked Daniel to share a little bit about himself.
I am a member of the National Recreation and Parks Association as well as the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association. I am a Pennsylvania State University Alumni with a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management and lifetime Alumni Member.
In my spare time I enjoy being a fitness coach, skiing, musician, and film enthusiast. I am a hands-on guy who looks forward to providing leisure experiences that engage, enlighten, and teach.
Previously I worked as a Recreation Program Coordinator in Springfield, New Jersey. My responsibilities included planning and executing events, sports programs, stem activities, and camps. I also managed an after- school program for 6th to 12th graders. During the Pandemic I worked with Summit Recreation, helping families through gaining donations with the local food banks and scheduling deliveries. During the summer of 2020 I was a Pool Manager for Marlboro Recreation facilitating in the daily operations and management of the swim club by providing social-distant COVID-19 guidelines to successfully run a safe pool experience for citizens.
I am excited to bring some fresh ideas to Chester Borough and add some fun into the Borough. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, concerns, improvements, or requests at firstname.lastname@example.org.
